The whitelist for the AFK Elephants drop is live now.
AFK Elephants are the most intelligent species in the metaverse, currently chilling in the Zone. The Elephants are all algorithmically generated with varying degrees of rare traits. Owning an AFK Elephant enables you to do everything in the ZONE Metaverse.

Note:- After listening to the community and seeing that there is a lot of confusion because of the 7-day average price method for pricing the NFTs denominated in Algos, we have decided to change the method and therefore we’ll take the exact price of Algo from CoinMarketCap at 10 February 2022, 2:30 PM (UTC).
The exact price of the NFTs in Algo will be shared exactly on 10 February 2022, 2:30 PM (UTC), 30 minutes before the sale in the #final-wl-for-afk-sale channel on Discord.
The sale wallet address will be shared in the #final-wl-for-afk-sale channel on Discord exactly on 10 February 2022, 3:00 PM (UTC).

Allocation
There is a hard cap of 3 NFTs per wallet, you can send funds worth the number of NFTs you want to own.
• If you want 1 NFT you should send $300 worth of Algos.
• If you want 2 NFTs you should send $600 worth of Algos.
• If you want 3 NFTs you should send $900 worth of Algos.
After the first round is closed and if a few AFKs are still available for sale, bonus pools will be opened for another round of sale and all whitelisted people can again send in their funds if they want another AFK.
How to buy?
You need to get yourself whitelisted in order to be able to buy an AFK Elephant NFT.
Process
1- Join the AFK Elephants Discord server.
2- Get yourself whitelisted.
3- Submit your wallet address in the #whitelisted channel, you can only submit your wallet address once so make sure to submit the right address on the first attempt.
4- Once you successfully submit your address you’ll be able to access the Final whitelisted channel, named #final-wl-for-afk-sale.
On the day of sale, the sale address will be shared only on the #final-wl-for-afk-sale channel, the sale is an FCFS and the price for the NFT is $300 worth of Algos each.
AFK Elephants are upgradable & deflationary in nature
ZONE NFTs are upgradable
Allowing users to combine NFTs of the same tier and type, to upgrade them for an NFT of a higher tier. In this way, users continuously level up and acquire rarer and more powerful NFT cards.
There are 6 NFT levels and users need to combine 3 base-level cards to upgrade.
ZONE NFTs are Deflationary
After upgrading, the base NFTs are burned. Since the number of ZONE NFTs are hard-capped, this creates deflationary pressure on the NFTs of a given tier and type by taking them out of circulation.
While the higher tier NFT cards are desirable for obvious reasons, the base level NFT cards also become desirable due to their rarity in the ecosystem and their virgin properties.
It will also create a marketplace for these NFTs based on power-up hierarchy and how few remain in existence. Thus, this deflationary mechanism ensures that any upgrade creates value for all ZONE NFT holders.
Utility
AFK Utilities:
- Tiered Access for investment opportunities in world-class web3 projects for owners of AFK Elephants in Z-Pad (Zone Launchpad).
- AFK NFTs as pseudonymous identities in the Zone metaverse and across the Algorand blockchain.
- AFK NFTs as access pass to exclusive Zone Events across the world with a chance to meet celebrities and superstar athletes.
AFK NFTs act as power-ups in the Zone gamefi ecosystem such as:
- Solo challenge winning multiplier — Multiplies the solo challenge winning amount.
- Tournament payout multiplier — Multiplies the tournament winning amount.
- Discounted loot boxes — AFK Elephants holders receive discounted loot boxes containing ZONE tokens and other NFTs as rewards.
- Staking reward multiplier — Receive boosted staking rewards in certain ZONE pools.
- Transaction fee nullifier — Upto 0% fees for all games on Zone.
- Rewards airdrop — Receive weekly Zone rewards through airdrops for holding AFK NFTs.
Rarity
Every AFK Elephant NFT will have all utilities outlined above. The extent of those utilities however, will be defined by its rarity category.
The rarity category itself will be defined by the rarest trait present in the NFT. For example — Even if the Elephant has only one Mythic attribute, it will be considered as a Mythical AFK NFT.
The categories are:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Super Rare
- Legendary
- Mythical
Each NFT level is categorized on the basis of the rarity category associated with it. The level categories are defined below.
- Common = Level 1
- Uncommon = Level 2
- Rare = Level 3
- Super Rare = Level 4
- Legendary = Level 5
- Mythical = Level 6
The NFTs are upgradable in nature. NFTs can be upgraded by merging 3 NFTs belonging to an immediately lower category.
How to get a whitelist spot?
To get yourself whitelisted you must join the AFK Elephants Discord server. In the AFK Discord server, you will be able to see a channel named #whitelist-info, follow the instructions written on it to get a whitelist spot.
Note:- A whitelist spot does not mean guaranteed allocation.
There will be multiple ways to get yourself whitelisted, complete any one of them and you’ll soon be whitelisted.
1- This task is to “Post a tweet about AFK Elephants and mention ZONE @XTZ_ESPORTS with hashtags #AFKElephants & #InTheZone, once done send a screenshot of the post in the #tweet-proof channel on AFK Elephant Discord server”.
2- This task is to “Engage with the rest of the community and reach level 2 to get yourself whitelisted”. You can interact in the #elephant-chat channel and with every 15 interactions you’ll level up.
More tasks will soon be announced on our socials in a periodic manner, complete any one of the tasks to get a whitelist spot.
You don’t need to complete all the tasks, just completing one task successfully will get you whitelisted. The sale is going to be in FCFS format on 10 February 2022.
Once you submit your wallet address in the #Whitelisted channel you’ll be able to access another channel named #final-wl-for-afk-sale where we’ll be publishing the sale address on the day of the sale.
Initial probability distribution of rarity traits at mint
Note- Not all NFTs will be sold. A large chunk of the NFTs will be minted and farmed through Zone Lootboxes (with increasingly rare mints) and through the F2P, P2E ecosystem.
Zone loot boxes are part of the Zone GameFi economy. Also, each NFT gives the holders access to Z Pad which will have the top product/project launches. Z Pad will be Algorand’s first native launchpad.
How to mint the NFT?
